Commencement Art Gallery is a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to nurturing the development and understanding of contemporary visual arts. The gallery hosts rotating exhibitions of new work, recognizing that emerging artists need exhibition opportunities in order to advance their careers and develop as cultural producers. Commencement Art Gallery also functions as a resource for community members by providing resource materials to local artists and hosting special programs related to our monthly exhibits. Established in 1993, Commencement Art Gallery fills a unique niche in the Tacoma art community. Our goal is to make high quality contemporary art accessible to the broadest possible audience in a setting that encourages educational dialogue.
